The agreement between you, DrivewayNights, and the host or guest on the other side of a booking. Written to be read — not skimmed.
DrivewayNights ("we", "us", "the platform") is a marketplace connecting campervan owners ("guests") with private driveway hosts ("hosts") across the United Kingdom. We facilitate bookings but are not a party to the agreement between guest and host.
You must be at least 18 years old and a resident of the United Kingdom to use DrivewayNights. Hosts must have the legal right to offer their driveway space for parking.
Accounts are created via email magic link — no passwords. Hosts sign up for a free Basic membership and complete Stripe Connect onboarding before listing driveways. An optional Premium tier (£35/year) reduces commission and lifts listing caps. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
All payments are processed via Stripe. The full booking amount is captured at the time of booking. The platform takes a commission from the host's payout and adds a service fee on top of the listing price for the guest.
Fee structure
Basic hosts: 10% platform commission on the host side, 10% guest service fee on top of the listing price.
Premium hosts: 5% platform commission, 5% guest service fee.
Payouts are transferred to the host's connected Stripe account 24 hours after the stay start date, subject to no open disputes.
Guests may cancel free of charge up to 7 days before the stay start date (measured in the host's local timezone). Cancellations within the 7-day window are non-refundable unless the host agrees otherwise or a dispute is resolved in the guest's favour. See the Refund Policy for the full breakdown.
Either party may open a dispute within 72 hours of the stay start date. Both parties have 72 hours to submit evidence. If no evidence is submitted within the deadline, the dispute is auto-resolved in favour of the host. Admins may resolve disputes with a full refund, full transfer, or a partial split based on the evidence submitted.
A messaging surface opens between guest and host once a booking is confirmed. You agree to use it to coordinate the stay, not for unrelated solicitation, harassment, or content that violates our prohibited conduct rules.
Staff may read messages
You agree to keep all booking-related communication on the platform. Off-platform contact (WhatsApp, SMS, email exchanges arranged through messages) is not covered by our dispute, refund, or safety protections, and arranging a stay outside DrivewayNights to avoid platform fees is grounds for account termination.
Hosts must ensure their driveway is safe, accessible, and matches the listing description. Listings require at least one photo and must pass admin review before going live. Hosts must complete identity verification via Stripe Identity and may need to provide proof of property ownership. The first two listings per host require explicit admin approval as a fraud control.
Guests must respect the host's property and house rules. The vehicle parked must not exceed the maximum length specified in the listing. Guests are responsible for any damage caused during their stay.
DrivewayNights does not provide insurance of any kind. We are a marketplace; we are not an insurer, broker, or underwriter, and we do not hold a policy that covers stays booked through the platform.
Each party is responsible for holding their own cover for the duration of a stay:
If damage, theft, or injury occurs during a stay, you must settle it with the other party and your respective insurers directly. You should also report anything serious to the police. DrivewayNights will hold, refund, or release payment through the dispute flow based on the evidence, but we cannot assess, adjudicate, or pay damage claims ourselves.
You may not use DrivewayNights for any unlawful purpose, create fake listings or bookings, harass other users, attempt to bypass the platform's payment system, or submit fraudulent identity documents. Breaches result in immediate account termination and, where applicable, referral to law enforcement.
DrivewayNights is a marketplace platform. We are not liable for the condition of driveways, the behaviour of guests or hosts, or any loss or damage arising from a booking. Our total liability to you is limited to the platform fees we collected on the relevant booking.
We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance. We will notify registered users of material changes via email.
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes not resolved through the platform's internal process are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
